"Charlie's Mates" want to know if there is a keyboard person out there who would like to join our group. We practice mostly at Lower Plenty (near Greensborough). We play mainly 1950,s 60,s 70,s songs. This includes some R&B, jazz, rock, dance music, some country. Have a dance gig coming up June 30 and would like to add keyboard for that. At present have Drums, bass, acoustic and singer.
Wanted. 1 Bass player. Slap is desirable but not necessary so long as someone is willing to give it a shot. Our style is mainly funk/rock but we tend to throw heavier tracks in for the fun of it. Some prog rock, neo-punk etc. Stuff that makes loud noises and lights a fire in the audience. Our influences are (but not limited to): Chili Peppers (pretty heavy on the Chili), Powderfinger, Hendrix, Green Day, Tool, Live, Jane’s Addiction, Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Screaming Jets, 3 Doors Down, INXS.
We are looking for someone who can learn stuff quickly (or at least have a grasp on the material) and who isn’t afraid to get out on the circuit and have a ball. We are not looking for professional players but someone who will give it a red hot go, and have a ball doing so.

I have just invested heavily in a Mesa boogie Loan Star and can produce professional quality sounds from jazz to Van Halen. I am not a shredder (I wish) I am more a melody kind of guy.
